Lynmar Builders is a well-established General Contractor with over 35 years of experience. Company specializing in Supermarket, Restaurant, Hotel, and Retail construction. Each and every one of their senior management staff has over 25 years of experience working in General Contracting and Commercial Property construction. All of the field personnel are fully qualified and are OSHA 30 certified.

Lynmar Builders asked Direct Line Development to create a responsive website for their company. The client wanted the site to be interactive and colorful with moving blocks, hyperlinks and other attractive design elements.

You can read the text below to see how we developed a website for a construction company. Also, you might want to check the case of the Lynmar Builders to see more details about the development process.

The steps of the site creating process for a construction company

We started off by discussing the goals and objectives of the website. We thought about how we can make the site comfortable and easy-to-navigate for users. After that we started prototyping the home page. When the client approved it, we started to develop the information structure of the site and create prototypes of internal pages.

Direct Line Development was very serious about each step of the project. That’s why while creating prototypes of internal pages, the homepage layout was being drawn. As a result we got more than ten pages which were sent to the client for approval.

The next step was developing layouts of internal pages. When the customer said which of the pages he liked, our professional designers started working at layouts taking into account the client’s comments.

Web design of the future site

Let's take a closer look at the design of the future site. The key information on the services can be easily found on the main page of the site due to its simple structure and logical navigation. A friendly color scheme says that the company is credible.

To make a large piece of information looked neat and easy-to-read, we divided each page into blocks. Thus, the users feel comfortable when being on the website and searching for the information that they need.

If a visitor cannot find the necessary information, he can use the Search field located in the header of the main page. Under the header there is a slider with the photos of the company’s projects. A bright element on the photo suggests to the user to fill in the request form or continue reading information on their services.

We paid particular attention to the blocks of services. Each block is highlighted with a pleasant color which jumps out at a visitor. Each and every block is animated. There is a soft and smooth animation that creates a special atmosphere and adds a dynamic to the website. It's the best way to manage the user's attention and make him concentrate on the right things. The design looks fresh, eye catching and unique!

Responsive web design of the Lynmar Builders site

In previous times, in order for people to access the website from various devices, developers had to create additional mobile versions. However, a few years ago, a new trend appeared in the web development market called responsive web design. And we utilized this in our project for Lynmar Builders.

It was necessary to take into account not only the features of the browsers, but also various operating systems and screen resolutions for the correct display of the site on different mobile devices. Developers used JavaScript and various CSS styles, which are applied depending on a device.

We adapted the web design to all different screen sizes. It allows us to keep the site structure clean and intuitive for the website user. The website is easy-to-read and the design stays beautiful on desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones.

What the client received

As a result we got an easy-to-use website with a responsive web design. We created a variety amount of layouts for the web site. Each of them was worked out to the verylast detail and carefully developed. Besides, we developed a flexible Content Management System (CMS) to allow the client to change information on the site and post the company’s news.
