When Philadelphia Party Planners approached Direct Line Development about a custom logo, the company requested a logo that would depict a fun party; something noisy and cheerful. From birthday parties to weddings, this company plans and executes a variety of celebrations. The client explained that she wanted something along the lines of cocktails, veils or bridal shoes on the logo along with flowers and the use of reds and dark purples. The client wanted us to use the letter “P” instead of the entire company name, which is how we came up with the letter in italics and encompassed in an elegant bouquet.
How We Came Up with the Business Logo
When we meet with a client, we make sure that we understand their business, their goals, and their requirements. We then get to work creating several prototypes, working closely with the client to find the perfect business logo. For PPP, we created six prototypes. The first was a set of potential designs with the “P” in italics. We used sketches with live graphics to convey fun and celebration. We then tried several variants of the logo in different styles and with a range of illustrations before settling on the bouquet circle of integrity, complexity, and continuity.
